Trans-Oceanic Model H500 Playing Station WWV (Time Standards)

This is my first video on here regarding vintage and antique radios, TVs, and related items. This is a Zenith Trans-Oceanic portable AM/Shortwave radio I obtained at a radio swap meet about 10 years ago, and finally got around to restoring. Here it is running on AC current, the radio has new electrolytic and poly caps underneath and a diode-resistor combination to replace the old, weak selenium rectifier which was causing the AC power supply to not provide enough voltage to operate it properly. WWV the North American time standards station coming from Fort Collins, Colorado USA operates on shortwave at 2.5, 5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz. This radio uses tubes (valves) types 1U4 (two of them) RF and IF amps, 1L6 converter, 1U5 1st. audio/detector, and 3V4 audio output. It also ran on a combination “A and B” battery pack consisting of a 9V high current battery inside for the tube filaments, and a 90V low current “B” battery section for the tube plate circuits. These directly heated battery tubes warm up almost instantly unlike most plug-in radios that have cathodes separate from the filament (heater) which causes them to take a while to warm up. More videos to come!

Israeli Mossad numbers station E10 - YHF

I’ve finally gotten a relatively decent recording of this station. It sounds best after the 2 minute mark. I can’t really explain the clearer signal - usually E10 sounds like absolute rubbish or not at all from where I am on the globe. Perhaps tidying up my nest of random wire possibly helped, who knows… E10 is believed to be ran by Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, and has been in operation by some accounts since the beginning of the 1980s. en.wikipedia.org A recent bust in Lebanon on an Israeli spy cache includes a shortwave radio: www.youtube.com

                              Shortwave numbers station? Or something?

When I was “surfing” on the shortwave radio I found something interesting. One voice (woman?) is counting numbers, sometimes you can heard second voice (man?). Recorded in Katowice, Silesia, 10:30 PM local time. Could someone please help me with explaining what it could be? (on the scale: K1)
