Radio Centrafrique from Bangui on shortwave 5035 kHz signing off with the National Anthem of the Central African Republic. Received in Germany in 1994. As I sold my Sony ICF-SW55 (the set I received the station with) several years ago, I use a photo of my Lowe HF-225E to illustrate this video.
Recorded at 2030 UTC (2:30 pm Central) on 21525 KHz. Since RNW no longer broadcasts to the Americas, I tried to tune into the West African transmissions from Bonaire. As you can hear, it comes in loud and clear for the most part, however not as strong as the former American broadcasts. I would tune into this station more often if I was home during the times they air RNW (early afternoon in Memphis and I am usually on the University of Memphis campus).
